About who we are
A community of your peers
Badge for a Badge is a nonprofit organization based out of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. From our founders, board members and peer supporters, we are on a mission to build a community saturated with first responders and active military/veterans. As a group our main objective is to not only provide peer support to one another, but also build long lasting relationships amongst each other.
We provide peer support contacts who are on standby to assist those in need. Whether it’s a traumatic event, a tough call you can’t shake or just the every day stressors that life brings- we are here for YOU. We are not offering counseling, just lending an ear and encouraging socialization with people who have experienced similar events.
To help promote growth we will have occasional gatherings and sponsor quarterly events. Future events include hiking, camping, cook outs, brewery visits, and fundraisers. We want to be known for helping during the tough times and creating memories for your good times.

For those committed to being a peer support contact please check out the volunteer tab. We will provide certified training periodically through recognized organizations such as the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. We will post those classes in the upcoming events and on our socials.
